Campgrounds and RV Parks
There are many campsites, improved and primitive located in the National Forests in
the Cashiers-Highlands’ area, some of which are listed below. In addition there are several RV Parks.
Blue Valley Primitive Camping Area: From Highlands take Highway 28 south for 6 miles, turn right
onto Blue Valley Road and proceed 3 miles to campground on right. Open year round.
Franklin RV Park & Campground: Where camping is not a destination, it’s an adventure.
Full hook ups, bath house, mountain streams, nature walks. Area attractions include Blue ridge
parkway, fishing, gem mining, tubing/kayaking, waterfalls, white water rafting, hiking.

Ralph J. Andrews County Park: From Cashiers take Highway 107 north for 6.4 miles to Pine
Creek Road. Turn left onto Pine Creek Road and go 1.1 miles to Splendor Cove Road, look for
Ralph J. Andrews County Park sign and turn left. RV hook-ups, showers, and boat ramp (828)743-3923.

VanHook Glade Campground: From Highlands take Highway 64 west 4.3 miles to entrance.
Van Hook Glade is an intimate campground, sloped and wooded for privacy. 18 sites: RV
and Tent accesible, No hook-ups available. Modern restrooms with hot showers are available.
Van Hook campers hve access to the facilities at Cliffside Lake. Open April-October.
